Here are a few pictures of Paris as we began the Viking cruise. Our boat was docked very close to the Eiffel Tower, and during the city tour the next morning I took a bunch of pictures of all the sites. The other two pictures here are of the Louvre with the I.M. Pei pyramid. Do you all agree with me that the pyramid is totally out of character with the beautiful lines of the Louvre which for centures was the king's palace. The guide said that people hated it at first but most have grown to like it. It's main advantage is that the enter the Louvre through it and it facilitates the entry.
